Engagements

Three ways to work together. No open-ended retainer.

Every engagement has a fixed scope, a stated commercial model, and one accountable senior leader. There is no staffing ramp, no discovery phase to fund, and no obligation to continue after a diagnosis.

Fixed-scope diagnosis

Program Recovery Review

Duration
3 weeks
Commercial model
$18,000–$25,000 fixed fee

Three weeks, one accountable senior reviewer, one written executive answer. The Review establishes what is actually failing: scope, sequencing, decision rights, operating design, adoption, or vendor performance. It also sets out what the next 90 days should contain.

What a Recovery Review Produces

Ongoing senior accountability

Fractional Transformation Lead

Duration
3–6 month minimum
Commercial model
$15,000–$25,000 per month

Named senior leadership for a stalled or high-risk transformation program, at a fraction of the cost of an executive hire and without a staffing ramp. One accountable person in the operating cadence, holding decisions, dependencies, sequencing, and escalation.

Specialist Subcontract

Duration
Engagement-dependent
Commercial model
$175–$250 per hour, subject to engagement

You keep the client relationship and the brand, and I bring the senior specialist depth. That covers prior authorization, utilization management, interoperability, operational recovery, and practical AI adoption on an engagement you own.

The Program Recovery Conversation.

A structured 45-minute working conversation about one program that is behind, over budget, or about to fund automation on top of an unstable workflow.

  • A shared statement of the problem as it is currently understood
  • The two or three questions that most need answering before further spend
  • A direct read on whether I am the right help, and what else might be
  • A one-page written summary after the call

The conversation covers what you already know about the program and what should happen next. Document review, stakeholder interviews, and a written recovery plan are the paid engagement.

Before you contact anyone

Program Recovery Readiness Check.

Twelve questions to answer before approving another dollar of transformation spend, covering outcomes, decision rights, workflow ownership, dependencies, operating measures, and AI readiness.

Work through them with your program leadership. It takes about ninety minutes and requires no email address, form, or call. Where several answers come back unclear, that pattern is the argument for an independent review.

How the three relate

Diagnose, then hold it, or reinforce someone else's team.

The three offers are not a funnel you are expected to walk. Most engagements use one.

The Program Recovery Review answers whether a program is recoverable and what should happen next. It creates no obligation to continue. I may recommend internal execution, an existing vendor, a specialist partner, or no further investment.

The Fractional Transformation Lead engagement applies where the recovery plan is understood but no one senior is accountable for executing it. It is the primary recurring engagement.

The Specialist Subcontract is sold to consultancies and integrators rather than to end clients, and is delivered under the prime firm’s agreement and brand.

Some work is better served elsewhere, and I will say so: outsourced authorization operations, staff augmentation, clinical-policy or legal advice, EHR implementation, and general-purpose AI consulting. Sensitive data handling, specialist partners, travel, licenses, and expanded scope are agreed separately.

Which of the three fits the problem you actually have?

Describe the program, the pressure, and the decision leadership needs to make. I will respond within one business day and say plainly whether I am the right help.
